on Jan 3rd, 2008Still swinging
2008 is still taking jabs at us. That crazy DHCP problem showed up again today at roughly the same time of the morning. Nothing like a couple of dozen users not being able to get on the network to throw a wrench into your plans. Luckily our shipment of Foundry FGS switches had arrived so I configured one of them up and we started moving patch cables over to the new switch. Then late this afternoon another upper cut came flying in when a T1 went down. I tell you…2008 is off to a banner start!
This DHCP problem really exploited our (my) overly secure configuration of MAC addresses for thin clients. Tonight I remedied that by exporting them all and configuring them the more user friendly way. This change is no less secure but makes end point moves much easier.
Its been a long day so I leave you with this hilljack brilliance…
Dude, Take my video off your website!!! Also I did look at the Herion Diaries. My son bought it with his Christmas $$$.
That shit will make you CRAZY.
Foundry? What up? Where’s the luv?
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
